S4AllCities Digital Twins

What is it?

The S4AllCities strategy focuses on creating three distinct digital twin sub-systems, each enhancing the intelligence of smart cities. These digital twins are designed to digitally represent and understand key real-time processes and objects within urban smart spaces.

The three core components are:

  1. DECIoT: Handles intelligent edge processing of sensor data.
  2. MAIDS: Manages machine detection and understanding of behaviour.
  3. ACMS: Oversees augmented reality and intelligence for a unified operational view.

Together, these digital twins utilise Artificial Intelligence to provide specialised situational awareness in smart spaces. S4AllCities aims to harness these systems to capture real-time intelligence on the safety and security of urban areas, with demonstrations planned in three European smart cities.
