UserCentriCities services repository

What is it?

What are the best examples of user-centric public services in European cities and regions? How does user-centricity in local public services look in practice?

Including world-class innovative services such as Rotterdam’s Digitale Balie, a digital counter for public-service delivery through video calling; Madrid’s Madrid Te Acompaña, a mobile application for the elderly to find accompanying volunteers; Tallinn’s AvaLinn mobile application where citizens give feedback on city development plans; Milano Partecipa, Milan’s citizen participation platform, the UserCentriCities services repository serves as a place for inspiration, knowledge-exchange and for highlighting genuinely user-centric digital services in Europe.

Submitted services also get the chance to participate in the UserCentriCities annual award, created to raise awareness and recognise the efforts made by local administrations in developing truly user-centric services, putting people’s needs at the heart of design and delivery.

The call for submissions is open to local authorities (cities and regions) from all European Union Member States and European Free Trade Area (EFTA) countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Applications must be submitted through the UserCentriCities services repositoryTo qualify for the award, services must already have been implemented in order to measure their impact. We encourage cities and regions with services at a design and development stage to submit them to the best practices repository to showcase their examples and serve as inspiration to others.

To learn more on how to apply, please see the call for submissions. The deadline for applications is 21 April 24h00 CET.
