Ignasi Pérez Arnal is a pioneering figure in the world of sustainable architecture. He has authored "Ecoproductos para la Arquitectura y el Diseño" and other 50 publications on sustainability and architecture. Pérez Arnal is also the founder of Actar publishing company.

He served as the Head of Sustainable Area at EsArq School of Architecture (UIC) and Director of Continued Education at ELISAVA-UPF. He is also responsible for pioneering the transformation of Technical Architecture Spanish studies into Building Engineering, with a focus on globalisation, sustainability, and international cooperation. He set up the first Erasmus Mundus Programme on Sustainable Emergency.

His goal is to lead the building sector towards a more conscious and responsible role. Pérez Arnal's passion for making architecture accessible to all is evident in his creation of the first academic subject about Accessibility in Spain. Architecture in Europe. His contributions to the field of architecture have been widely recognized, and he has taught at numerous institutions worldwide. As a visiting professor at the Facoltà di Architettura di Alghero in Sardinia (Italy), and a lecturer at the Vietnamese-German University in Ho Chi Min City (Vietnam), Universidad de Puerto Rico in Río Piedras (Portorico), Ordem dos Arquitectos in Porto and Lisbon (Portugal), and Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla (Colombia), he has shared his expertise with aspiring architects from diverse backgrounds.
