Jens Bley, a seasoned digital strategist and sustainability advocate, has been leading the charge in data-driven urban testbed/arena projects with a growing emphasis on engaging young citizens in piloting sustainability and climate mitigation initiatives.
As an initiator and host of NEB conversations, Bley has been at the forefront of driving Smart Cities and Digital Transition clusters for the EU International Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC) program across Asia & Australasia. Additionally, he serves as the Digital Ambassador to the digital cluster of Hamburg.
With 15 years of experience as a visiting professor at top universities in Berlin and Hamburg, Bley has deep dived into the digital economy, smart cities, smart culture and digital city science. His work as an award-winning executive producer of children's media in partnership with National Geographic speaks to his ability to engage diverse audiences through the digital medium.
Bley has also played a key role in shaping the internet landscape in Germany and beyond. He co-founded one of the first internet agencies in Germany and was on a European management board, positioning himself as a thought leader in digital strategy and innovation.
