We also conduct repairs and have a retrofitting progress for these homes. We have also secured part-funding from the Interreg programme to install PV panes, battery storage, smart meters, and storage heaters in 4 homes. In 2020 we launched our vision, “Die Tischlerei”, at our former production site in the heart of Melk: a CO2-neutral city district, this new project will set new standards in climate-neutral construction. On 10,000 m², we are creating an international best practice example for the sustainable construction and operation of buildings. Based on an architectural competition, an innovative timber construction is being created as the home for an innovation hub for sustainable building, architecture and craftsmanship. The project includes a stage with 300 seats as a place for art and culture, a rooftop bar and serviced apartments and long-term residential units.
